we have been surveying each new SavePB member about what community issues are
most important to them.

compliance
8. Community planning and
development
9. Smoke shops (drug
paraphernalia)
10. Graffiti and gangs
11. Traffic and
transportation
12. PB public schools
13. Disaster preparedness
14. Crime (added to survey
on June 27th)
15. Inadequate mix of
businesses
Plus others mentioned in
your comments, such as homelessness, street cleaning, water/bay pollution, high
rents and lack of enforcement of existing laws.
How you can
get involved:
In order for
SavePB to work on resolving these issues, we need help from our members.
We need volunteers to form
subcommittees (teams) to work on specific issues. Subcommittee members decide how they will
communicate or meet and how often. For
their specific issue, subcommittee members will identify and define the
problem, research possible solutions, plan effective actions aimed at solving
the problem, and disseminate that information through the SavePB website. The SavePB Core Team and other resources will
be available to guide and advise subcommittees.
We’ve already begun work
on the block party, crime, parking, community planning and alcohol issues. Results from these initial efforts are
already being realized. We hope you will
help us address these and other issues that are important to you.
If you cannot
attend various meetings, please email us at
info@savepb.org to let us know what issue
you’d like to work on or to give us your input on issues.
