Alcohol and House Parties House
Parties House parties where excessive drinking takes place, impacts everyone and often result in alcohol poisoning, traffic crashes, property damage, sexual assault and drunk drivers! Underage drinking at parties pose a high risk to young people because of the number of drinkers involved and the large quantities of alcohol consumed. drinking On May 26, 2006 amendments were
made to the San Diego Municipal Code relating to the prohibition against
hosting, permitting, or allowing gatherings where minors are consuming alcoholic
beverages. The ordinance requires party
hosts to take reasonable steps to prevent minors from consuming alcohol at their
parties; verify their age, control the access and/or quantity of alcohol and to
supervise minors. Violators of the
ordinance are subject to criminal, civil and/or administrative charges and
