PB is a vibrant community but, like any other, it has issues that you should be aware of.  Different areas of the community have different types and levels of crime.  PB residential areas are very low in violent crime, but do have some property crimes such as car break-ins and home burglaries.  The PB commercial areas that are filled with “bar-like” restaurants tend to have high violent crime such as assaults.

Pacific Beach had the 2nd highest Sex Crimes and was the 3rd highest in Violent Crimes between Jan-nov 2022.
