The Pacific Beach Planning Group is recognized by the City Council to make recommendations to the City Council, Planning Commission, City Staff, and other governmental agencies on land use matters, specifically, concerning the preparation of, adoption of, implementation of, or amendment to, the General Plan or a land use plan when a plan relates within the planning group’s area boundaries.

The Pacific Beach Planning Group is recognized by the City Council to make recommendations to the City Council, Planning Commission, City Staff, and other governmental agencies on land use matters, specifically, concerning the preparation of, adoption of, implementation of, or amendment to, the General Plan or a land use plan when a plan relates within the planning group’s area boundaries.

The PB Planning Group also advises on other land use matters as requested by the City or other governmental agencies. The City does not delegate legal authority to planning groups to take actions on behalf of the City. Planning groups are voluntarily created and maintained by members of the community within the City. The PB Planning Group operates in accordance with our Bylaws .

Monthly meetings include reports from Council District 2 office representative and city departments. Speakers from agencies may include water main reports and upcoming plans. Twenty-member board (15 residential, 5 business) reviews pending residential and business projects; recommendations sent to City Planning Dept.Subcommittees review designs and plans targeted for PB, e.g. Commercial /Residential / Mixed Use, Parking/Traffic and Code Compliance. Click HERE for more about subcommittees.

BeautifulPB is a public non-profit charity formed by a group of PB residents, businesses, and property owners who are collaborating with the local community to create a sustainably beautiful Pacific Beach. We are working to implement a number of community projects and programs that will bring us closer to realizing a Pacific Beach EcoDistrict. 

BeautifulPB is focused on supporting community efforts that improve Pacific Beach and create a better place for residents, visitors, property and business owners by engaging in local community projects. Mission Bay Gateway

 

Mission Bay Gateway (MBG) is an all volunteer group working to greatly improve the Mission Bay/De Anza area through campaigning for necessary improvements, revitalization and additions to the Mission Bay Park area.
